 How to Start your Coins Collection and build it Video Blog

Coin collection was considered as the hobby of elite class. Today numismatics is developed as a hobby, investment and business. Anybody interested can start this hobby any time.

You can start with looking around your house, your purse, coin boxes, old bags and old shelf etc. Definitely you will find some coins. Some of them may be very common. Keep one each of them. Look further and find more varieties and years. Mostly you will find coins that is used in your country.

There are two types of coins used in your country.

1.    Standard Circulation coins

2.    Commemorative coins

Standard circulation coins you will find more commonly and commemorative coins in small quantity. Start keeping one coin from each category.

Once you have collected a few coins, get one entry level album. In this type album you can keep 100 – 200 coins. Keep your coins arranged. For example, keep 1-rupee denominations on the first page, 2 rupees on the second page and 5 rupees on the third page like that.

When you select the coins for your album select only good condition coin only. Also keep the oldest dated coin in your collection if you choose to keep only one.

As you progress your collection will get increased. You may require another album to keep foreign country coins.

As a young collector please spend some time to go thorough your coins at least 30 minutes every week. When you reach a target of 100 plus coins you can try to catalogue it. The best way is to use some online catalogues like numista, coin gallery etc. Here you can find a listing related to your coin with image. You can mark it as available in your collection or available for exchange. Most of the online catalogues offer variants of each coins and its catalogue value. If you are lucky you will find some valuable coins in your collection,

When we sum up we have reached 100 plus different coins collection and all coins arranged inside the album and catalogued using some online catalogue. Next day we will discuss how to expand your collection.

As we know Lithuania comes in European continent. And now it’s a European union country.

Let us go into more details

Lithuania, officially the Republic of Lithuania, had been part of the Russian Empire since the end of the 18th century, but after the Russian Revolution of 1917 they became independent states. 

Lithuania, officially the Republic of Lithuania, is a country in the Baltic region of Europe. Lithuania is one of the Baltic states. . Lithuania is known for its lush, green landscapes.

Official languages‎: ‎Lithuanian

The Lithuania coin collector may come across the following old coins. 

Bohemian Groat (1495-1535)

Old litas (1922-1941)

These coins are not in use now. But New litas (1993-2014) are available in plenty. We also offer new Litas coins,

From 2015 January 01 the Lithuanian  New litas currency give way to Euro.

The present currency in Lithuania is Euro, 100 Euro cents = 1 Euro

As of now 1 Euro equals 86.59 Indian Rupees

Lithuania Euro bimetallic coin is bit difficult to find rare coins. They cost more than their face value. Even the cents are selling at a premium.

The Maldivian rufiyaa is the currency of the Maldives. The issuance of the currency is controlled by the Maldives Monetary Authority.The present currency Maldives Rufiyaa come into existence from 1947. 100 Laari = 1 Rufiyaa.
