The Galápagos Islands, part of Ecuador in South America, are a group of 13 major islands and smaller islands. It is home to a range of unique animal species such as Galápagos Tortoises, Darwin’s Finches, and Galápagos Fur Seals, among others. The best time to visit is from December to May, with pleasant temperatures ranging from the low 70s to mid-80s, making it ideal for hiking and wildlife spotting. Activities like snorkeling, hiking, sea kayaking, surfing, horseback riding, mountain biking, scuba diving, and Panga rides allow visitors to experience the wildlife up close. The temperature is moderate throughout the year with two distinct seasons: the dry season from July to December and the rainy season from January to June. Visitors can only reach the islands by air, as there is no road or ferry service. The cost of a trip varies depending on the type of trip, with a one-week vacation costing around $774 for one person or $1,548 for two people. A six-day island-hopping trip can cost between $4,000 and $5,000 per person.
